A gentle manual therapy that targets the source of pain
Do you have pain from a chronic condition or acute injury? Has the pain medication stopped working or physical therapy not achieving the desired results? Try Neuromuscular Therapy. It is a science based manual therapy that works like a reset button for your body. By eliminating knots in the muscles (trigger points) and reconditioning the connective tissue (fascia) the body is ready for self-healing it's designed to do.
Pain only begets pain. Stimulate the nerves in painful manner, such as in poorly administered "deep tissue" massage, and they will tell the already shortened and painful muscles to contract more. The goal of treatment is to remove the cause of the pain from the muscles, not beat them into submission. Neuromuscular therapy works gently with the nerves and muscles to allow them to regain their healthy state.
The treatments will follow evaluation of range of motion (ROM) and strength of the muscles involved. Your symptoms of pain, loss of ROM and weakness will see immediate improvement on the first session. Reassessment after each treatment will demonstrate a clear path forward towards resolution of the issue.

A trigger point and the characteristics are:
1) A tender nodule in a taut band of muscle caused by dysfunction of the biochemical exchange where the nerve meet the muscle fibers.

2) Metabolic waste accumulate in these sites and cause pain and weakness in the muscle.
